This Monday, June 14th, the 2016 Hangzhou Culture Photo Competition came to a close with an awards ceremony featuring local officials handing out the prizes and a small photo gallery display at the Zijingang Campus Asian Youth Center building. This year's competition featured hundreds of participants - most submitting 5 photos each - making this the largest photo competition for expats that has ever been held in Hangzhou.
Hangzhou Plus alone had over 35 participants. Add that to international students from Zhejiang University and other various channels / universities who participated. After the judges from the Hangzhou government selected winning photos, Robert Bailey came out on top and received the grand prize of 3,000 RMB.
Robert Bailey is currently a lecturer at the Zhejiang University of Technology. Visit his blog to see more great pictures and read about his time in China: robbaili.wordpress.com
Congratulations to everyone who participated in this year's competition. Whether they won a prize or not, all participants had a hand in showing more of the world about the beautiful city of Hangzhou! Continue to take photos and share!
